Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) provide energy efficiency information and specifications, such as floor area and materials used, for a dwelling. Official EPCs can be downloaded from the Scottish EPC Register. See further information about EPCs on the Scottish Government website.
The source data for this service has been downloaded from statistics.gov.scot. The service contains data for certificates between Q2 2015 to Q1 2025. The source data includes only the latest EPC for each dwelling.
/ew-compatible endpoint aims to mimic the API for England and Wales provided by The Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities. To achieve this the data has gone through some additional transformation:

For the statistics endpoints, it has been enriched with National Statistics Postcode Lookup (May 2025) for the UK data from the Office for National Statistics and further enhanced by indexing it via H3 to enable performant geospatial queries.
